Well, I'm back from the Tinsel and Treasures show in northern California which was a delightful little show :-) Iva Wilcox and Colleen Moody really out did themselves. It was really fun meeting up with fellow artists the night before at Colleen's house and the food and beverages were AWESOME!! I also really enjoyed meeting up with my high school friend Crystal and her sweet daughter Sheyanne at the show. We haven't seen each other in about 30 years! I loved that she named her daughter after our town in Wyoming, even though it's spelled differently. We talked for forever! LOL!! Good Times!!
My good friend Regina accompanied me on the long trek to Northern California. I'm not sure she'll volunteer to come with me again. It was a LONG DRIVE!! 12 hours one way!! I was glad to have her with me. She is good company and an excellent helper. THANK YOU SO MUCH REGINA!!!!
I'm busy preparing for the next 2 shows coming up.
Glitterfest: October 15th
Bohemia (solo show): October 29th
I did take a little break from the mosaics this weekend to build a screen door in the garden. I meant to get some yard work done too, but the screen door took me longer to build than I thought it would. The reason for the screen door is to keep the chickens out of my side yard and veggie garden. They have been making an absolute mess of my plants and walkways with all of their digging....thus the screen door. Our hotter than Hell temps are starting to move in to slightly lower digits, so it's time to start getting the ground ready for Fall planting. Fall is a great time to grow veggies here in the Phoenix area. Anyway, I thought I'd share pics of my weekend projects. :-)
Charming, Right??!!! :-)
I Likey~Likey!!!
It would have been so much easier to buy an old screen door, but the very few I found were too small. I had orders from the hubby that if I put a screen door there, then it better be wide enough for the lawn mower and the wheelbarrow to fit through. I was like, Oh Yeah, huh. That might be a good idea ;-)
Well, I guess I'd better get back to work as my lunch break is over. I'll be back soon to share my newest mosaic creation which will be part of my solo show in Tucson.
Peace!
