A few weeks ago, the hubby and I went to a roofing convention in Prescott, Arizona. These events can include alot of partying, which we felt obligated to participate in. ;-) Let's just say that we had a really good time :-)
We had such a good time that we made friends with the bartender at the hotel where we stayed and where the convention was being held. This is TJ and he was alot of FUN! So fun that he put on this pink cowboy hat and did a little dance for me LOL!
The view from the hotel restaurant was spectacular. The real thing looks better than this pic.
Here's the hubby and I on the last night at the awards dinner
The next morning we took a drive to check out Lynx Lake....Beautiful!!
One of the extra curricular activities that the convention had was a winery tour in Chino Valley. As soon as we got off the bus, they had us begin wine tasting. After a few tastings, I remember purchasing a few bottles of somewhat expensive wine ($35) :-) They then took us to see the grapevines which were pretty cool and on the walk back, we saw this
A Great Horned Owl sleeping. Isn't it just beautiful?!! They are very large too. Our tour finished with a fabulous lunch.....thank goodness. I needed it after all of that wine.....however, wine was served with the lunch....oye! ;-)
Anyway, it made me think that The Wall was in need of it's own owl, so I went digging through my dish scraps and came up with this
He's now perched on The Wall looking out over the garden and the studio :-)
That's all for now. Today is my birthday, so I'm headed to Anthropologie (LOVE) to spend my bday money and a gift card that has been in my purse since Mother's Day.
See ya soon!
