Did you guess right????

In the post below, I gave you a sneak peek of a mosaic that I was working on.

Here it is....

It's for a gallery showing. The theme for the show is music and movement.

Well, to work I go. I'm still neck deep in mosaic cupcake orders. Worked all day yesterday and late into the night on them. So, needing coffee right now. Come on coffee pot, BREW!

Oh, and before I forget, I've about finished up a few Halloween cupcakes. They are so CUTE! I'll show you them in my next post. I'm only making a handful of them, so if you are interested, I would grab them up once they are posted. :-)

Bad Blogger!

Wow! I have been an absolute Blog Slacker!!! I can't believe how long it has taken me to get over here and post. I have been very, very busy in the studio, but I also took a few days off to head to the much cooler California. So very NICE!!!

The hubby's boss has a summer home in San Diego (yep, I'm jealous) and he invited the hubby and me to come over for a few days for a fishing trip. We have not been ocean fishing before, so this sounded pretty fun.

Here is the dock where we are awaiting the arrival of our boat. The hubby's boss has his own boat, but he hired a guide for our fishing trip.

Below is a seal.....well, his nose anyway. Every time I went to snap his pic, he went under the water. He and a few others were hanging around hoping for a snack. The fishing guides DO NOT like these guys. They ruin a lot of trips. We found this out quickly. They follow your boat, even if you go out for miles, and then when you throw out your line, they grab your bait! Or, they wait until you catch a fish and then they rip it off your line before you can reel it in!!

Pic from the deck. This boat had a little kitchen and a couple of beds, in case you want to lie down from sea sickness and it even had a bathroom! Very nice!

This is the hubby's boss. The hubby has worked for him for several years. He's a really good guy.

Here is the hubby (in the Star Roofing shirt) with one of our guides. The guide was showing him how to fish the ocean. It's much different than regular fishing. I had already had my little class. :-)

For some reason, we did not take any pics of our fish. I have no pics of me on my camera, but the hubby has one on his camera, but his camera is at work. I'll have to ask him to send it to me. Anyway, I hate to brag (not really), but I whooped the pants off all of those men on the boat....BOTH DAYS!!! :-) In order to fish, I had to agree to bet money on the Biggest fish caught, the First fish caught and the Most fish caught. Okay, I thought, it's only a $1 bet per category.

Ummmmm, Pay Up Boys!!!!! ALL CATEGORIES!!!

They are sore losers. They said they were not going to invite me again. Whatever, I'll go by myself :-)

Now, for a little mosaic. Here is a sneak peek of a piece that I have to have finished by TOMORROW! Can you guess what it is?? I'll show you a pic in the next couple of days. I promise not to go so long between posts.

Okay, back to work I go. I have a bazillion cupcake orders to get done!

Mosaic Wall Addition

Here's the newest addition to the mosaic wall. I'm still working on this wall every chance I get :-)

Working hard in the studio

Working hard in the studio and trying to stay as cool as one can in 112 degree heat. The pugs and I are so thankful to have an air conditioner to keep us cool. As I sit here busily working away, glancing every now and again out the window at the palm trees swaying in the slight wind, with the snores of the pugs in the background, I am totally unaware of the high temps until I hear the guy on the radio say "We're experiencing another day of heat warnings here in the valley".

Aaaaaah! Air Conditioning. What a wonderful invention.
