I'm starting to think the economy is really starting to get better. Business has really picked up here at Mosaic Cottage. Yay!!! :-) I know there is still some ugly economy news out there, but I really am trying to think positive. (Thanks Steph!! I think you were right!!!) Positive Thinking ~ Positive Thinking
I've been working daily from about from 6:30 a.m to about 6:00 p.m. (including weekends) and I only stop then so that I can cook dinner for family and then sometimes back into the studio I go until around midnight. I mention this because I really would like friends, family and neighbors to know that just because I work from home doesn't mean that my job is any less important or busy than those who work outside the home. My job may look like PLAY and I DO LOVE my job, but I have REAL deadlines.....people counting on me to get their orders to them for their own deadlines. It is very important to me to not let my customers down. I bring this up as I have been inundated with folks wanting me to do this for them or that for them. These are requests that I'm sure they wouldn't even dare to ask of people working outside the home. So, please know that I am not being rude, but I am working and my office hours are from 6:30 a.m. ~ 6:00 p.m. THANK YOU for understanding :-)
Okay, now that that is out of the way...
Check out this lamp base that I found at Goodwill while shopping for plates. I just found the shade at Target and I haven't even removed the plastic from it yet. (no time) I'm not sure if I'm going to leave it the way it is or embellish it.
Cool right??
The best part. Check out that price! Ha!
A little more work done on my mosaic wall. I try to work on this a little each day after working on cupcakes and such all day. It's a nice little break from the same old same old.
Check out this Hollyhock!! I think it is about 15 feet high now. It must be happy here. My friend Lori gave me some black Hollyhock seeds a few weeks ago. I can't wait until they grow. I've never seen black Hollyhocks before. I missed you on Sunday Lori!
My little Apricot tree finally has fruit! :-)
Look at my little baby grapes. My vine is covered with them. I hope they make it to maturity. There is a really nasty caterpillar that likes to munch the whole vine to nothing!
New Succulents. I'm really starting to hooked on these for posts and buckets.
Rose bushes are happy ~ happy :-)
My Jacaranda tree is in full purple bloom.
I love the way the petals look when they fall into the pond.
Well, back to work I go. I just wanted to let you know that I'm still around, just working my fingers to the bone (I wish that would work for my middle! LOL!)
Hugs!!!
