I'm also hoping to show up at some local events this Fall and Winter. Maybe the Scottsdale weekly artwalk and/or First Friday's in Phoenix. I'm also working on possibly having an open studio tour/sale as well this Fall. I don't open my stuio often to outsiders, so this will be a treat. If it goes well, maybe I'll make it an annual event. We'll see how it goes.
I hope to see you all at one or more of these events this coming year!
(Now I've got some serious work to do!)
p.s. Remember to get out and support the Arts. If the customers don't show up and support us, we stop participating in the shows. Thank You in advance :-)
I've got a lot going on right now and I seem to be running in several directions. Hopefully, I'll get focused sometime soon. Don't get me wrong, I'm getting a lot done, but I just feel like I'm all over the place. Really discombobulated!
Anyway.....this on my studio wall. I really LOVE it!
This is the beginning of a project right outside of my studio
I'm preparing for Fall shows. I will post my show schedule soon. Here's a little sneak peek at what I'm working on for Halloween
This is just the tip of the iceberg of the projects I have going on. I'll try and share more soon.
Last year during the garden tour at my home, one of the people touring, overheard me say that I was planning on putting a fountain of some sort in my side yard. She said I have a fountain in my yard that you can have. For Free. You just have to come get it. I asked when she returned home if she would send me some pics of it and she did. I knew that I had to have that fountain. It was perfect.
The next day the hubby and I went to go pick it up but found that it was way too heavy for even a few guys to move. No worries though, as a couple of days later, my hubby and a few co-workers took the crane from their work yard to pick it up and delivered it to it's new home. So Happy! (me) :-)
Well, 1 year later and we finally just got it hooked up and running. This took about only 30 minutes, so I'm not exactly sure why we took so long. I had even already planted flowers around it months ago. I still need to dig a trench for pipe to put the cord thru. Hopefully that doesn't take me another year to get done.
The Wall is finally completed. PHEW!! What a long process that was! It took waaaay longer than it should have, but between shows, orders, weather and life, well it is what it is. I'm just glad it is finished and I'm really happy with the outcome. It really does bring a smile to my face.
For those of you have waited so long to see it, Thanks for sticking with me.
I cannot believe how close I am to finishing up the Wall!! I have a few more things to do tomorrow and if it doesn't storm too bad this weekend, I should be able to begin Grouting!!! YaHoooooooooooo!!! It's going to be a bitch to grout, but I am up for it!!!
Sheesh, I might even be able to reveal the entire Wall next week! PHEW!!! Please Mother Nature be kind this weekend.
I need to go rest now....maybe have a beer. My back is killing me. It's all good though!
It has been a busy few weeks here with the Legler clan. Besides the usual busy day to day stuff, we had to say goodbye to daughter #3 as she moved to Wisconsin to be with her boyfriend and to accept an amazing new job. We are sooooo HAPPY for her but will (are) missing her terribly.
Here she is soaking up some Pug Love before the move
Next, we traveled to Florida to attend daughter #1's wedding. It was very beautiful!!!
This was our first time in Florida. It is gorgeous and I love all of the water :-)
The wedding was just beautiful. There were lots of joyful tears.
We were (are) proud parents :-)
Also packed in to the last few weeks...
Our grandson turned 2. He hasn't warmed up to me yet. Because they are so far away, I've only gotten to see him a handful of times so he isn't sure he likes me. He does however like his Papa (what's up with that??). Never the less, he is a CUTIE!!! (Oh and has a scream that I'm sure could break glass LOL!!!)
And our granddaughter turned 4. Now, she really likes grandma! Papa too. But I'm pretty sure I'm the fave! (Take that Papa!) She's attempting dance lessons. Attempting is the key word here. She has cried each time she's gone.
There were some other eventful happenings as well.....some ups and a few downs. Let's just say there is Never a dull moment around here. :-)
Thank you to all who sent me an email asking why I wasn't at Glitterfest this past weekend. Now you know. It's nice to be missed <3
Today is catch up on laundry and house cleaning day (and catch my breath day). I'll be back in the studio tomorrow. :-)
